Private Religion

Social religion is perfected when private religion is purified. -A.W. Tozer

In reading a book by A.W. Tozer, (The Pursuit of God) this thought hit my heart. So many times people are looking for a Revival in their churches however that revival is short-lived if it even shows up at all. The only way to allow a move of God in our church to never disappear, is to allow a change of heart in our lives. We must begin by first spending time in fasting and prayer if we ever want to see growth in our churches. When we take the initiative to revive ourselves, our churches will see revival! When we take the time to perfect our own walk with God, we will position ourselves to assist others on their own journey. I challenge you to take some time aside to pray and ask nothing of God but a closer walk with him!
